Using Remote Desktop Connection in Windows 7

Windows 7 is the new and latest version of Operating System released by Microsoft Corporation on October 2009. Windows 7 has some great features with more security as compared to Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems. Remote Desktop Connection is one of the features provided by Windows 7.

Remote Desktop Connection is used to connect to other computer remotely. User can access other computer and can work on that computer remotely. By default, Remote Desktop Connection will be disabled. Administrator needs to enable it using Computer’s Properties page.

Enabling Remote Desktop Connection in Windows 7:

1) Right click on Computer on Desktop and select Properties.





2) Click on “Remote Settings” in the Tasks pane of the Properties window.




3) In the Remote Settings Properties page, select "Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer" check box under Remote Assistance section.

4) Then, in the Remote Desktop section, select "Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop (less secure)" option.

5) Click on Apply and then OK.





After enabling the Remote Desktop Connection, you can now access other computers by following below methods:

NOTE: Before continuing, make sure that the Remote Desktop Connection is enabled on other computer also.

1) Click on Start Orb and then All Programs and then Accessories and then click on Remote Desktop Connection.

Remote Desktop Connection windows will open.

2) In the window, type the IP address or name of the computer which you want to access in the Computer box.

3) Then, click on Connect button.




4) If the remote computer is password protected, then it will ask you to enter the username and password.

Just enter the username and password and then click on OK.

Now, you have the access to the remote computer. You can work on another computer remotely.

Nokia C6 Review




Nokia, one of the leading mobile manufacturers in the World, has introduced new phone called Nokia C6. It is a new touchscreen smartphone by the Nokia and it is the second product of the Nokia’s C series. Nokia C6 has a sliding QWERTY keyboard which helps the heavy texters to use it freely. Its main key features are 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, Touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Battery, and 5 MP camera. Nokia C6 comes at affordable price in the market with these features.

Design:

The design of the Nokia C6 is same as the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and Nokia N97 Mini. Nokia, by seeing this phone, seems like given more importance to its look. Nokia C6 comes with 113 x 53 x 16.8 mm in dimension and weighs around 150g which looks quite heavy. You will find the C6 phone is Black and White colors.

Nokia C6 has 3.2 inches of TFT Touchscreen which comes with 360 x 640 pixels of resolution and it supports 16 millions of colors. Nokia C6’s Touchscreen has decent sun legibility and the screen is bright, crisp and colorful. The touchscreen comes with accelerometer sensor for the automatic UI rotate and proximity sensor for the automatic turn-off.

Nokia C6 has a Call, Menu, and End buttons at the below of the display. On the top of the screen you can see a small VGA camera. On the back side of the panel, it has a 5 megapixel camera with a LED flash. A 3.5 mm Audio port and a microUSB port is situated at the top of the phone. In the left side of the phone, microSD card slot is situated and in the right side, you will get the phone Lock/Unlock button, Volume rocker, and a Camera shutter key. No need to worry for covering the ports to prevent from the dust because Nokia C6 comes with a plastic cover for all the ports.

Its QWERTY keyboard helps heavy texters to use it freely. Its QWERTY keyboard keys are very responsive. The position of the keys good, but could have been still better. Nokia C6 has alphanumeric keyboard in the portrait mode; QWERTY keyboard is in the landscape mode and has a full physical QWERTY keyboard.




Features:

Nokia C6 runs with Symbian OS v9.4 Series 60 rel 5. It is looks like same as other Nokia Symbian phones. Now-a-days, Symbian is not used much in the market as it is now ruled by Android and other smartphone OS. The icons and interface, and the Menu system are very nice.

The Nokia C6 has a multimedia player which is handy and simple to use. It supports most of the audio and video formats like MP3, WMA, WAV, MP4, WMV player, and so on. The sound quality is excellent. It also has a Stereo FM radio with RDS feature.

C6 has a 240 MB of internal memory and you can store unlimited entries in the Phonebook. It includes 2 GB of microSD card which you can extend up to 16 GB.

Nokia C6 offers a data transfer through Bluetooth with A2DP and USB v2.0. The streaming of the audio to a Bluetooth headset wirelessly is easy. You can use the internet on this phone using 3G, GPRS, and Wi-Fi. The speed of the data transfer is improved with the support of EDGE.

C6’s web browser is decent as it supports HTML, XHTML, and also the WAP 2.0. It also supports the RSS feeds and a Flash Lite v3.1. Using this phone, you can access the social networking site like Hi5, MySpace, and Facebook. It supports instant messaging for Yahoo Messenger, G-Talk, and Windows Live Messenger.

Nokia C6 comes with pre-installed Ovi Map application. The Nokia C6 has an in-built GPS receiver and A-GPS receivers. It also includes Currency Converter, Calendar, Notepad, To-Do List, World Clock, Speaker phone, Voice Commands, Text and Multimedia messaging. Using Ovi Store, you can personalize your phone with MP3 ringtones, message alerts, screen saver, and wallpapers. You can access all the features offered by Nokia Ovi Suite and Ovi Share. It has a Document Viewer which allows you to read the word document, excel sheets, PDFs, and PowerPoint presentation.

Nokia C6 comes with 5 megapixel camera. It offers 2592 x 1944 pixels of resolution with LED flash and autofocus features. Camera offers 4x of digital zoom, basic editing options, like Settings for video light, scene, and so on, and Geo tagging images. This phone also has a secondary camera at the front of the phone which allows you to make a video calling. You can capture the videos at 30 fps with VGA camera.




The quality of the image is very good, but having 5megapixel camera it falls short. The images are vibrant and crisp with little low bright. The video quality is also an average.

Performance:

Nokia C6 has a 1200 mAh Lithium Ion battery. It gives the battery life of 7 hours of talk time and 400 minutes of Standby time. The phone offers 30 hours of the continuous video playback. The call quality of this phone is impressive. You won’t get any disturbance during the call. The sound is clear and louder.

Nokia C6 has an ARM 11 434 MHz processor. It runs slow as compared to other processors in smartphones. But, it gives smooth experience while working.
